We didn't leave until 4pm on Saturday. We crossed at the Peace Bridge at 6:15 pm and drove until we got to Morgantown Virginia. Do not stay at the Days Inn there. It was dirty, the light bulbs were burned out, and the whole place was kind of grungy.
The next day we left at 7 am and the mountain scenery really made the drive worth while. We continued to drive and reached the Florida state line at sunset. We then decided to stay at a 5 star Holiday Inn in Jacksonville. We had dinner in the restaurant. The food was great and so was the service. We retired to our room for some R and R.
The next morning, we hit the I-95 South and our only near catastrophe was hitting a big truck tire on the highway. But we and the car were OK. We got to Orlando about 11 am.
We just did some sightseeing and went to Walmart in Kissimmee to get some necessities like cigarettes, alcohol, and summer wear. The weather was great. That night, we checked into a Howard Johnson in Kissimmee
